The Ulba Metallurgical Plant is one of the world's most recognized producers of uranium, beryllium, tantalum, and niobium for the nuclear energy, electronics, metallurgy, and other industrial sectors.
Since 1997, the company has been part of the National Atomic Company Kazatomprom JSC.
The plant's founding date is considered to be October 29, 1949, when the first batch of finished thorium oxalate products was produced.
